The 60-Year-Old Snow Shoe Virgin

A summer premiere of a very wintry experience. My first time snowshoeing. Up high in the Rockies, complete with an unexpected mountain snowstorm. My coach was master outdoorist, Joshua Baruch. This guy is a savant in the outdoor adventure world. You realize a few seconds into your first conversation with him that he's the real deal.

Catchy video title, right? It reveals my still very sophomoric sense of humor. Of course, I ripped it off from Steve Carell’s funniest-ever movie, IMHO.

Self-indulgent diversion: I secretly wish I could have gotten into comedy. The Groove Tube, Woody Allen’s Sleeper and Animal House completely rocked my world in the '70s. Up to that point in my life, movies had been all about 007. I watched those Bond flicks over and over in the '60s.

Now, here I am as a 60+ year old, finally getting to some of my previously unexpressed passions. Outdoor adventure bucket-list and making fun (and hopefully sometimes funny) films. Even if they are YouTube shorts.
